Farm Stand:
Starting in May, we will start selling fruits, veggies, and plants at our Chicago Ave garden (2805 W Chicago Ave) during the following hours:
Sundays 2-7
Wednesdays 2-7
CSA:
Our CSA is full for this year, but let us know if you want to be added to our waiting list for next year. Here’s some more information about our CSA:
This year we will be offering three distinct CSA seasons–Spring, Summer and Fall. In our CSA, members come to the farm (2809 W Chicago Ave) to pick up their vegetables. The pick up days are Sundays and Wednesdays. Members commit to one day, and pick up their vegetables on that day all year. The pick up times are 2-7 during the Spring and Summer seasons, and 2-5 during the Fall.
Our Spring season share will run for 9 weeks during May and
June (Wednesday, May 2 – Sunday, July 1). That season will bring
lettuces, micro greens, braising greens, baby greens, herbs, radishes,
scallions, and some other early delights. The cost for a share in our
Spring CSA will be $135 if you pay pre-season, and $180 if you pay in
season plus tax (I’ll explain the the two payment schedules later).
Our Summer share will run for 13 weeks during July, August and
September (Thursday, July 5 – Sunday, September 30). This season
starts on Thursday, July 5, but after the first week, the pickups will
be on Wednesdays and Sundays like the other seasons. Just like this
last year, since this is the bountiful season, the bags will be larger
during this season. During this season we will offer everything in
our garden–zucchini (and cousins), eggplants, peppers, tomatoes,
greens, melons, herbs, edible flowers, corn, lettuces,
broccoli–everything we think you’ll like! This season will be 13
weeks long and will cost $260 if you pay pre-season, or $325 if you
pay in season plus tax.
Our Fall share will run during October and November (Wednesday,
October 3 – Sunday, November 18). This season will offer more storage
items, heartier greens, as well as some of the same quick growers that
Spring offered. There will be potatoes, winter squash, pumpkins,
popcorn, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, lettuces, scallions, herbs, kale,
etc and canned treats, too. This share will run for 7 weeks and will
cost $105 if you pay pre-season or $140 if pay in season plus tax.
You have noticed that there are two different payment rates. In order
to qualify as paying “pre-season”, we need to receive a full payment
for the season on or before the first day that season starts. If you
can’t make the full payment by then, we are asking for the full
payment to be paid by the half way point in the season, and we will be
charging you more for the share.
